At the Intimacy Institute, we are passionate about sexual health. It is our belief that sexual health is our birthright. As seasoned sex therapists, we are clinically trained to provide the best in relationship counseling and sex therapy.

At LiveStrong, we ask survivors and caregivers what they need, we ask the system how it can be more person-centered, we ask innovators how we can bring impossible ideas to life. Helping cancer survivors and their loved ones has been our goal from day one. We believe in putting the survivor first, and that is why we created tools and resources to help ease the challenges of a cancer diagnosis. That’s why we’re here: to make sure people and families get the person-centered care they need, at the time when they need it.

The Institute was created to meet a need generated by a significant deficit in the training of psychotherapists, physicians and clergy. Most providers have little to no training in sexual health. Yet sexuality is core to intimacy. In addition, sex therapists have little to no training in couple’s therapy. Yet relational dynamics effect the sexual relationship. This deficit has left the public seeing ill-informed providers.
The goal of the Northwest Institute on Intimacy is to make it standard of care that all people seeking psychotherapy can expect to see someone with expert training and supervision in individual, couple, sex and spiritual intimacy therapy.
We bring together curious, open-minded folx to explore the intersections of pleasure, identity, and healing so that we can expand our understanding of our needs and desires; challenge and replace unhelpful belief systems about love and relationships; provide practical tools for developing a practice that fosters a more empowered, non-judgmental, and expansive relationship to our sensual selves — and do it 100% on our own terms.
